If you played PC games in the 90s, Doom was it. Extremely ground-breaking, it built on a lot of the first-person shooter themes but also established its own, many of which are in use in today's shooters. I saw something similar in the two logos -- Doom, to me, is so much more iconic than Iron Man. I was more of a gamer than a comic reader, unfortunately, but I thought I'd put them up for people to see side by side. Let me also add that the Doom movie was horrible.

doom? ah, heretic was where it was at~
don't forget wolfenstein!
Wolfenstein started it all, really. There was a secret level in Doom 2 that payed homage to this. Doom took it to a new level, I believe, and Heretic came after Doom -- both were created by ID Software. I liked Heretic a lot because of the wizardry/hack-n-slash aspect! I could wikipedia all of this to make sure I'm right, but I'll just base it off shit I haven't thought about in 15 years. : )
