Ferris, Reimagined

We've been discussing the concept of storytelling around these parts a lot, and the multitude of vehicles used for it--film editing being a huge one. We love running across re-edited trailers of our favorite films, whether someone's placed a lighthearted tone on something formerly sinister, or created a slasher film out of something as innocent as a Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan movie. It's amazing to think that all of this is done using nothing more than some clever edits, effects, and new music.

(We've played around with a few of our own re-cuts, but that's for another post.)

Anyway, I ran across this one today and thought I'd share. A friend referred to as John Hughes' take on Wes Anderson, but I'm thinking the editor of the piece may have been going for more of a Zach Braff/Garden State feel. What say you?
